Why we do this
It started the way most rescues do โ one cat, then another, then more than we could count. Dubai's streets are home to thousands of cats living in tough conditions: heat, traffic, disease, and very little protection. So we started stepping in, one cat at a time.
Today, Dubai Cats Rescue is a small network of volunteers who trap, treat, sterilize and foster cats until they're ready for a real home. Many of our cats fly to their new families in Europe โ often accompanied by a "flight buddy": someone already booked on the same route who agrees to carry a cat in-cabin for a few hours so it can start its new life.
We don't have a shelter. We have spare rooms, borrowed cars, and a lot of people saying yes when it's inconvenient.
Every cat we place goes through the same process you'll find in our adoption form โ because a home that lasts starts with the right questions, asked before the cat ever leaves the ground.
